The Seven Species (olive, date, grapes, fig, barley, wheat, and pomegranate) were known as the staple foods consumed by the Jewish people in the land of Israel during biblical times. The patterns and drawings are inspired by imagery taken from the Middle Eastern landscape and painting of the late Austrian artist Gustav Klimt.
