Kadima (Handbound Zine)

$10.00

A few years ago, my husband Dylan and I made “KADIMA”, a zine to complement the Passover Haggadah. It is a booklet of writings, drawings, and prompts to encourage a deeper dive into the contemporary relevance of the Passover story. It’s available for download or as a hand-bound zine here. Slide through the thumbnails to see some excerpts, and read the forward here:

“KADIMA translates to “forward”. In this instance it is a command, it is a place we hope is not out of reach: it is Jerusalem. On this night we consider where we have come from and where we are going. We are urged to reach out our hand to the those not so fortunate as ourselves as we beckon them, “kadima- let us move forward to a better place side by side.” The story told at the Seder table is one of the distant past. On this night we may reflect on analogous struggles for freedom, the events that have transpired since our last Seder, the present moment, and how all of that ought to reach into the future and shape it.”
