"A Miracle Could Happen" Dreidel
A ceramic dreidel with the Hebrew letters “נ“, “ג“, “א“, “פ“ (Nun, Gimel, Aleph, Peh) sculpted in relief.
Measures 1.75” in height and 1” across.
The letters stand for נס גדול אפשר פה״”, translating to “a great miracle IS POSSIBLE here”.
I made this piece as a response to the assault of Israel on Gaza and the Palestinian people. And with the hostages— both Israelis and Palestinians— and their families, in mind.
It is possible, if we each do what is within our power (looking especially at you leaders of the free world), to make lasting change. To bring lasting peace. When hearts are soft and when we dig into our stores of empathy for the “other”, I have faith that reparations and repair are possible.
It would be a miracle. And it is possible.
